Different from the normal movie

IMAX cameras are specifically designed to shoot 15 perforation, 70 mm film (15/70) - the world's largest film format. Taking your imagination to a new dimension

IMAX projectors are the most powerful in the world. The key lies in the Rolling Loop technology which advances the film in a wave-like motion at 24 frames per second. During projection, each frame is positioned on fixed registration pins and a vacuum holds the film flat against the rear lens element. When combined with IMAX 15/70 film they project images of immense size, sharpness and clarity. IMAX : Effect of Sound and Screen To complete the effect of the multi-channel, IMAX digital surround sound system, the huge IMAX flat screens and dome screens are perforated with thousands of tiny holes to allow the crystal clear sound to flow through freely.

Space Station 3D

Space Station 3D was the first 3D live-action film to be shot in space. Using advanced 3D technology, the film tells the story of the greatest engineering feat since men landed on the Moon; the on-orbit assembly of the International Space Station as it travels 220 miles above the Earth at 17,500 mph. The film included sequences that portray the force of a rocket launch, look into the depths of space, experience life in zero gravity and accompany astronauts on a space walk.

T-Rex 3D

This film is about using The IMAX Experience to take one back and see how these incredibly majestic and fierce animals lived during a time that is almost impossible for us to imagine.Dinosaurs are very much alive - at least in the mind of teenager Ally Hayden. When a museum accident transports Ally on an adventure back in time to explore the terrain and territory of life-size dinosaurs, she is thrust literally nose-to-nose with the largest and most realistic dinosaur ever to appear on a movie screen - the fearsome 20-foot tall, 15-ton Tyrannosaurus Rex.T-REX also incorporates the latest scientific knowledge, provided by world-renowned palaeontologist, Dr. Philip Currie, about the creatures who roamed the earth more than 65 million years ago.

HUBBLE 3D

"Hubble 3D" offers two categories of images, both awesome. One involves footage filmed on board the Space Shuttle Atlantis on a mission to repair the Hubble Space Telescope one last time. The other involves a 3-D rendering of some of Hubble's photographs of the cosmos. It's remarkable how casual the astronauts are, joking and performing for the camera. Then we see space walks in which they drift weightless to replace, adjust and tune up Hubble. There is nothing there but the shuttle, Hubble, Earth and the abyss. If they lose a tool, it is lost ... forever or until it is found millions and millions of years from now in a galaxy far, far away.
